Our Simple Four Step Process
EZ Protect is designed with ease of use in mind. Our product can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, plastic, and even existing rust.
The application process is simple and straightforward, requiring minimal surface preparation. EZ Protect can be brushed, sprayed, or rolled on, making it suitable for various projects and applications.
1. Wash it!
Lightly use a wire brush or power washer to remove any visable flaking rust.
For PERFECT adhesion, use EZ PREP in a pump-up sprayer to clean the surface.
RINSE off the EZ PREP with a hose or light setting of a power washer.
2. Dry it!
Let your project area dry for at least 30 minutes. It doesn't need to be "bone dry," but no standing or pooling water should be on the surface your are going to spray.
EZ PROTECT is water-based, so you need to allow the surface to be clear of the water and grease that would prevent the product from adhering perfectly.
3. Tack it!
Use an airless or HVLP sprayer. Lightly mist (place a tack coat) EZ PROTECT on the surface.
EZ Protect is water-based and this tack coat helps the cover coat adhere perfectly by filing in the gaps.
Don't worry if the surface isn't completely covered as you would see with a finish coat...you'll cover it in the final step!
4. Cover it!
Use an airless or HVLP sprayer to place a coverage coat of EZ Protect on the surface.
Keep any surface with EZ PROTECT away from water for 24 hours.
EZ PROTECT will fully cure within 5 days.
